Kathryn M. Hendricks Kathryn M. Hendricks, 91, formerly of 132 W. Arndt Street, died Monday, August 30, 2010, at St. Francis Nursing Home. She was born August 2, 1919, in the Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County, the daughter of William and Anna Diefenthaler Schmahl. She married Harley W. Hendricks and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1961. Kathryn was a longtime member of both the Salvation Army and its Women's Ministries. Surviving are four daughters, Barbara (Allan) Jackan of St. Charles, IL, Christine Salzman of Fond du Lac, Virginia (Michael) Butt of Fond du Lac, Alice (Stephen) Marquart of Markesan, four sons, William (Judy) Hendricks of Campbellsport, Thomas (Sharon) Hendricks of Fond du Lac, Richard (Darlene) Hendricks of Fond du Lac, and Michael Hendricks, also of Fond du Lac, 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Allen Schmahl of Manitowoc and Charles Schmahl of Kiel, and a sister, Marilyn Laack of Plymouth, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends further survive her. Her parents, a daughter, Kathryn Mae Hendricks, a grandson, Bradley Jackan, a sister, Marion Weber, and a brother, Leonard Schmahl, preceded her in death



Visitation for Kathryn M. Hendricks will be on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 11 to 1:30 PM at the Salvation Army Church, 237 N. Macy Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday at the church. Major Paul Moore will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Salvation Army. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Her children are at peace with knowing she is with her Heavenly Father.
