Kathryn M. Smith

Kathryn M. Smith, 69, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born August 10, 1948 in New London, the daughter of Elmer and Leona Radichel Steingraber. On November 16, 1968 she married Lee F. Smith and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2007. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist in New London and Ripon until starting her own craft business. She enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers, crafting, enjoyed storms, collecting bears, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.



She is survived by three sons, Shawn Smith, Scott (Gayla) Smith, and Timothy (Madlyn) Smith, all of Fond du Lac; daughter-in-law, Amy Smith; grandchildren, Noah, Owen, Makayla and Payton Smith; step grandchildren, Shawn, Ryan, and Patrick Gens, Mercedes Maas, and Alexis Hollis; great grandchildren, Carter Solberg, Ethan and Ava Gens. She is further survived by one brother, Richard (Eileen) Steingraber of Greenville; her mother-in-law, Marilyn Smith of Pardeeville; sisters-in-law, Sharie Steingraber of Lodi, CA and Paula Smith of Pardeeville; brothers-in-law, Jeff Smith of Pardeeville and Glenn (Diane) Smith of Portage; nephews, Kyle Steingraber, Justin Steingraber and Collen Steingraber; niece, Stephanie (Jon) Carpenter; special friends, Dolly and Patrick Holzman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee; brother, Elmer Steingraber; father-in-law, Francis Smith; sister-in-law, Kelly Hopkins.



The visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will be held in Maple Creek Cemetery in New London.
