Keith Lowell Russell

Keith Lowell Russell, 86, entered eternal life on July 6, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. Keith was born March 19, 1931 in Fond du Lac to Harold and Irene (Blackburn) Russell. On September 25, 1954, Keith married Janet F. Weis in Fond du Lac.



Keith was a 1949 graduate of Oakfield High School after which he worked for John Deere in Horicon. In 1951, Keith entered the United States Air Force serving with the Air Defense Command in New Jersey. He received his honorable discharge in October 1955 from Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan.



Keith was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company as an Installer-Repairman for 28 years, retiring on July 22, 1989. He was a life member of C.W.A. and the Telephone Pioneers. He also was self-employed as a dairy farmer for 8 years in the Berlin and Waupun areas. When he retired in 1989, Keith and Janet traveled throughout the United States and wintered in Casa Grande, Ariz. for 13 years.



Keith was very active in his church in previous years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fond du Lac.



He is survived by his wife, Janet; a sister, Myra (Rev. David) Pipping and their children; 2 brothers-in-law, Rev. C. James Weis and Carlton (Joy) Weis; a sister-in-law, Mary Weis; special friends Rev. Robert and Adrienne Sheridan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irene; his brother, Dale (Barbara); his in-laws, Carl and Madeline Weis; 2 brothers-in-law, Donovan Weis and Gavin Weis; and 3 sisters-in-law, Janet Weis, Faith Harder and Lois Weis.



Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 400 E. Johnson St. in Fond du Lac with Rev. Dan Leeds officiating. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75. Private burial will follow at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
