Kennedy Lynn Burgess, 14, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, May 6, 2016 at Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa. She was born September 12, 2001 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Robert Jr. and Colleen Hoyt Burgess. Kennedy was homeschooled with interaction with Roberts Elementary and Theisen Junior High School. She loved her teachers and therapists and also dance parties with her Theisen friends. She also enjoyed music, water, jokes and being silly, and most of all loved her family.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Colleen Burgess Jr.; four siblings, Cortnie, Corie, Zachary, and Lauren; maternal grandparents, Gary and JoAnn Hoyt of Cato, NY; paternal grandmother, Sheron Burgess of Cato, NY; aunts and uncles, Shawn (Pete) Harrington, Carrie (Mike) Newton, Grover, Sweeting, James Sweeting, David Sweeting, Micheal Burgess and Scott Burgess; cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert Burgess, Sr.; great grandparents and her special maternal great grandmother, Viola Davenport.
The visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at Holy Family Church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.

The family extends a very special thank you to all of the caregivers from Together at Home for the wonderful care given to Kennedy and treating her like part of their family.
