Kenneth A. Sprotte Sr.

Kenneth A. Sprotte, Sr. 69 of Fond du lac died on March 18, 2016 at St. Luke’s Medical Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1946 in Fond du Lac, the son of Robert L. and Helena L. Hoffmann Sprotte. On March 12, 1993 he married Vicki Thorpe in Fond du Lac, WI. Kenneth served in the Army during Vietnam from 1965 – 1967. He was a member of React, Skywarn, First Responder, Hospital volunteer, the Purple Heart Association and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff Reserves. He loved playing cards and other games with his family and friends. Breakfast and coffee were a favorite pastime as well as community theatre, lighting and set design, woodworking and photography. He had a love of eagles and airplanes. Ken loved life and his family.



Survivors include his wife Vicki, half-sister Dee (Bill) Alsabrook; daughters, Kim Sprotte, Kris Sprotte (special friend Shaun), Karla (Marlon) Franzen, Kathy (Brian) Kelley, son Kenny Sprotte, Jr., Jean Sprotte (special friend Mike); three step sons, Jimmy (Brenda) King, David (Tammy) King and Matthew King. God-daughter, Becky (Rich) Wesenberg. 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.



Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Helena L. Sprotte, father Robert L. Sprotte, daughter Kelly Pressnell, grandson Nicholas Patchett, and close family friend Dale Zammacker.



At Kenneth’s request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery.
