Kenneth G. Schmitz

September 11, 1930 — October 6, 2017

Kenneth G. Schmitz, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born September 11, 1930 in the Town of Taycheedah, the son of Peter and Caroline Steffes Schmitz. On June 27, 1956 he married Dolores Perrizo at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1958. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed repairing John Deere lawnmowers, good polka music, and traveling.



He is survived by his wife, Dolores; sister-in-law, Darlene Perrizo of Fond du Lac; three nieces, Rose (Richard) Goldstein of Boston, MA, Mary (Joel) Tran of Boston, MA, and Joann (Kevin) Cahill of Pine City, MN; two nephews, John (Carmen) Perrizo and James (Beth) Perrizo, all of Eden Prairie, MN; close friends, William and Jody Spieker of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Gilbert Schmitz.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
