Kenneth “Red” J. Schwartz, 76, of Malone, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1938 in Fond du Lac, the son of Louis and Isabelle Brandt Schwartz. On October 12, 1963 he married Beverly J. Johnson. Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1956 – 1962. He drove semi truck for Badger Liquor retiring in 2003. Kenneth enjoyed playing cards, fishing, bowling, watching the birds and squirrels, sitting by the lake, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; four children, Rhonda (Rick) Raube, Kim (Kevin) Krueger, Nick Schwartz, and Mona (Tim) Lemke, all of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren, Rochelle (Luke) Ritchie, Melissa Barber, Raechel Raube, Kevin II (Heather) Krueger, Kyle (Lisa) Krueger, Christopher (Jennifer) Schwartz, T.J. (Finance, Dani Ball) Lemke, and Heather (Travis Uherka) Lemke; twelve great grandchildren, Autumn, Marissa, Devin, Donelle, Kayden, Justin, Julia, Kendalynn, Dakota, Layla, Rhylee, and Brooklyn. He is further survived by five siblings, Robert (Elaine) Schwartz of Ripon, Richard (Hilda) Schwartz of Fond du Lac, Patricia (Jerry) Smet of Fond du Lac, Peggy (Kenneth) Grainger of Oklahoma, and Junior (Susan) Schwartz of Fond du Lac; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sibilings, Joyce (Ken) Thorpe, Jerry Schwartz, Vernon (Laurie) Schwartz, Gloria Schwartz, Marvin (Pat) Schwartz, and Shirley (Don) Arndt.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
The family extends a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and the St. Agnes ICU and 5th Floor nurses for their care and compassion given to Kenneth and his family.
