Kenneth R. LambMr. Kenneth R. Lamb, 74, of 676 S. Park Avenue, died Friday, December 17, 2004, at his residence. He was born September 23, 1930, in North Fond du Lac, a son of Richard and Pearl Yanke Lamb. On April 5, 1952, he married Elaine A. Albertz at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mr. Lamb was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Kenny was a 20-year member of the US Army, retiring as a First Sergeant. He served with the 11th Airborne Division in Germany, and spent two tours in Vietnam, one with the 101st" Airborne Division, and the second with the 25th Infantry Division. His decorations included seven Bronze Stars, three Army Commendation Medals, both with the "V" device for valor, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal with three campaign devices, an Air Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Good Conduct Medal, with six oak leaf devices. He also was a Master Parachutist, and had over 200 career jumps. Ken was a Life member of Bohlman-Grimes VFW Post #1904, the Van Dyne Sportsman's Club, and the Retired Enlisted Association. Surviving is his wife, Elaine, four sons, Tom (Joan) Lamb and Todd (Susan) Lamb, all of Anchorage, AK, Ted Lamb and Tracy (Kathy) Lamb, all of Fond du Lac, a daughter-in-law, Karen (Jay) Gilgenbach of Malone, eleven grandchildren, Jamie Lamb, Lindsay (Ben) Phillips, Sean (Fiance' Kristi) Lamb, Michelle (Mark) Dobberstein, Jennifer "JJ" (Brad) Roberson, Sheamus, Allison, Caitlin, Shannon, Colin, and Joseph Lamb. He is further survived by three great-grandchildren, Jebediah and Cavan Dobberstein, and Preston Roberson, and a brother, Jerry (Mary) Lamb of Appleton. His parents, two sons, Timothy and Terry, a brother, Robert, and his mother and father-in-law, Arnold and Flora Albertz preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Kenneth R. Lamb will be on Monday, December 20, 2004, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and from noon to 1 pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at 1 pm at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jon Cox will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
