Kenneth R. Munson

Kenneth R. Munson, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born in Fond du Lac on March 18, 1933 the son of Howard and Margaret Scherer Munson. On October 15, 1960 he married Jean M. Andrews at the Church of Peace. He was a graduate of Fond du High School Class of 1951 and was a Golden Gloves Champion Boxer. Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was a lineman/installer for Wisconsin Telephone working for 33 years retiring in1988. He was a member of the Church of Peace U.C.C., Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie No.270, Bohlman-Grimes VFW Post No.1904 and the Telephone Pioneers. Kenneth and his wife Jean spent their summers at their cottage in Manitowish Waters, WISURVIVORS: Kenneth is survived by his wife Jean M. Munson, Fond du Lac; two daughters; Sue Maurice, Woodruff, WI and Jill Pauly, Fond du Lac; four grandchildren; Matthieu and Emily Maurice, Amber (Matt) Christenson, Brittney (fiancé Arik Hafermann) Pauly, two great-grandchildren; Brooklynn and Jacob Christenson. He is further survived by his brother Donald Munson, Fond du Lac; and a sister-in-law, Bette Munson, Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Harold and one sister-in-law Janet Munson.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 3 to 7 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home .Private family burial will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery.
