Kenneth W. Hare, age 83, of 257 5th St, Fond du Lac died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Grancare Nursing Home. He was born on March 14, 1928 in Brandon, the son of Walter and Anna (Seifert) Hare. On August 31, 1946 he married Helen Pickart at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. Ken served in the United States Navy and worked at Fred Rueping Leather Company, and also at Wisconsin Power and Light in Fond du Lac. Ken was a firefighter for the City of Fond du Lac for thirty-two years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.SURVIVORS: his wife, Helen of Fond du Lac, three daughters, Jo Ann (Roger) Clausing of Rosendale, Jeannie (Milton) Schave of Fond du Lac, Joyce Hare of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Mike (Rachelle) Schave of Fond du Lac, Jeff Schave of Milwaukee, Steven Clausing of Rosendale, Danny (Nicole) Clausing of Oshkosh, four great-grandchildren, Lydia and Tyler Clausing, Jordan and Cameron Schave, brother, Mike (Elverda) Hare of Fond du Lac, three sisters, Elaine Pinkerton of Fond du Lac, Lois Marchant of Ripon, Beat (Ed) Winterheck of TX, one sister in law, Laura Mullenbach of Chilton, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters in law, Albert and Mildred Pickart, Hubert and Lydia Pickart, Orville and Ann Mullenbach, Elmer Mullenbach, Dorothy and Walter Steiner.



VISITATION: Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Joseph Coerber officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. John Steiner and everyone at Grancare who helped in the care of Ken during his stay.
