Kevin B. Liedke, 54, of 5 Kathryn Court, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1954, in North Chicago, IL, the son of John and Mavis Pucker Liedke. On June 7, 1975, he married Jean Tonn at St. Joseph's Church in Fond du Lac. Kevin had been employed for 33 years by Mercury Marine. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270. He spent his time coaching youth athletics, driving the Zamboni for Springs Hockey, fishing trips to Canada, deer hunting, and many rounds of golf with family and friends. He was an avid fan of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and war movies on Memorial Day weekend. He will be greatly missed for his kindness, generosity, and unending sense of humor. Surviving is his wife, Jean, two daughters, Jennifer and Becky Liedke, both of Fond du Lac, a son, Chris (April) Liedke of Loveland, CO, a granddaughter, Annika, also of Loveland, his mother, Mavis Liedke, and a sister, Cynthia (Joseph) Shaffer, all of Crivitz, and nieces and nephews. His "special family" of Gerry Develice and her family of Fond du Lac, also survives him. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for Kevin Liedke will be on Sunday, October 25, 2009, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, October 26th, from 10 to 11 am at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Monday at the church. The Rev. Robert Siefvater will officiate and cremation will follow the services.
