Kevin E. Kowerski

Kevin Edward Kowerski, of N3525 Trieloff Road, Fort Atkinson, WI, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 2, 2010 from All About Life Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac, WI.Kevin was born on March 26, 1950 in Waukegan, Illinois and grew up in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. He graduated from UW-Whitewater with a BBA Degree, Business Administration, in 1972. He worked throughout his lifetime primarily at Bordens, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI). Kevin ended his career with Walmart Supercenter Store #3499, Jefferson, Wisconsin. Kevin was grateful for the companionship and support of his coworkers and supervisors at this Walmart.Kevin leaves behind long-lasting friendships. Upon leaving his home, Kevin dispersed his belongings and 'treasures' among people who needed them. Final compliments attributed to Kevin include 'he's a true gentleman'. During his illness, Kevin frequently read from a prayer book, Way of Heaven, brought back from Jerusalem by his father during World War II. Kevin carried this prayer book with him to Sunday Mass at Holy Family Parish, Fond du Lac.Kevin was known for rescuing kittens and cats. Before leaving his home, Kevin secured the placement of his final two feline friends, Myla ('My-little-animal') and Tin Can, in a cat adoption agency.Kevin is survived by his sister, Mary Carol (David) Zunker, and nieces Cristine (Jesse) Smith, Angela (Nicholas) Ferri, and nephew, Andrew Zunker, and four great-nieces, Abigail Smith, Sophia Smith, Madeline Ferri and Charlotte Ferri, and his dear friend, Alberta Zunker. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Peter Kowerski and mother, Catherine Evelyn (DeLancey) Kowerski.



Mass of Christian Burial services will be on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, 232 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place.Inurnment services will be at 3 PM on Wednesday at Sacred Hearts Cemetery, 1001 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
