Kurt Madsen

Kurt Madsen died Sunday July 27th 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital, after a short Illness.Born November 16th 1956 in Burlington, WI he grew up in Fontana WI where he spent his boyhood hiking and camping. After graduating from Big Foot High School in 1975, he purchased the Shell Gas Station in Walworth from his father, becoming sole proprietor. He relocated to Fond du Lac with his family in 1988, opening Apple Construction shortly thereafter. He retired in 2006. He was known to all as the life of the party, avid outdoorsman, consummate story-teller, handyman extraordinaire, loving friend and father, and a truly gentle soul.He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Keeler, and his son, Lucas. He was preceded in death by his son Joshua.



The memorial services will be held at Grace Reformed Church on Saturday August 2, visitation at 9:30, service at 11:00.In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that charitable contributions be made to one of the following charities: ASTOP (astop.org) or Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Organization International (http://www.orgsites.com/ca/acco/)
