Larry L. Matteson

Larry L. Matteson, 62, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, November 18, 2024 after battling a brief illness, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born November 6, 1962 in Hillsboro, the son of Verlin and Treva (Taylor) Matteson. After graduation Larry served in the US Air Force. On October 20, 2001 he married Jennifer R. Komp. Larry was a machinist for over 30 years at Mercury Marine. He enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hunting, and 4-wheeling, and loved being with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; two daughters, Elizabeth Matteson of Dalton and Candi (Adam) Kennedy of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Mason, Brody, Adalynn, Kamden, and Karter; one brother, Alan (Sandi) Matteson of Richland Center; three sisters-in-law, Carol Matteson of Wonewoc, Lynn Lawler of Fond du Lac, and Kristin (Kelvin) Stebbins of Richland Center; three brothers-in-law, Ken (Tina) Warriner of North Fond du Lac, Rick Warriner of Fond du Lac, and Bob Warriner of St. Cloud; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Matteson and Carl Matteson; and sister, Anita Satterlee.

The visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will follow the visitation and military honors for close friends and family at The Hive, W4786 State Road 23, Fond du Lac, to share stories and memories.
