Laura J. Foster

Laura J. Foster, 53, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, February 2, 2018. She was born in Neenah on March 28, 1964 to Richard and Barbara (Bunker) Mendlesky. Laura was a 1982 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School and obtained an A.S. in Telecommunications from MPTC in Beaver Dam. She was a dedicated employee of Mercury Marine where she was currently employed.



Laura’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to get outdoors and garden. The annual EAA Airventure in Oshkosh was Laura’s favorite time of year. She will be remembered for being a compassionate caregiver and lover of animals. Continuing her mother’s passion for the Packers, Laura was a devoted fan of the green and gold.



Survivors include her three children, Alicia (Bill) Stockwell of Waupun, Brittany Foster (Nicholas Franke) of Beaver Dam, and Christopher Hensler of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Tristan, Aaliyah, Ayden, Jasmine, and Patty; her sister, Lynn (Patrick) Groesbeck of North Fond du Lac; and two uncles, Robert (Margaret) Mendlesky of Eagle River, WI and Thomas (JoAnn) Bunker of Lake Havasu, AZ. She is further survived by her niece and nephew, Amanda Groesbeck (Troy Van Cuyk) and Shawn Groesbeck; her lifelong friend, Connie Schenk of North Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Barbara; grandparents, Raymond (Ruth) Mendlesky and Dennis (Edith) Bunker; and her son, Brandon Foster.



Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. Cremation will follow the services with burial in Calvary Cemetery to take place at a later date.
