Laurel M. Livingston, 83, formerly of Brandon, and a resident of the Christian Home in Waupun for the past 15 months, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 27, 2007, at Waupun Memorial Hospital in Waupun. Laurel was born August 22, 1923, in Geneva, IL, the daughter of Seth and Rena Meredith Peck. She graduated from Geneva High School in Geneva, IL in 1942. She worked on the family's dairy farm. On November 16, 1957, she married Harold Livingston at the Geneva Lutheran Church. Laurel was an avid knitter, a 4-H and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed attending her grandsons' band concerts, baseball games, football games, and watching them show cows at the County Fair and the District 10 Holstein show.She is deeply missed by her daughter, Fran O'Leary and her husband, Neil, of Brandon, WI, grandsons Ryan, Nathan, and Matthew O'Leary, all of Brandon, and Josh O'Leary and his wife, Shelly, of Alto, WI, a son, Tracy, and his wife, Jan, of South Carolina, a step-son, Joe Downs, and his wife, Cheryl, of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Marion Behling of St. Charles, IL, a brother, Thomas Peck and his wife, Marie, of Geneva, IL, and four nieces, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 14, 2000, a brother-in-law, Oscar Behling in 1985, a sister-in-law, Ruth Peck in 1989, and by a nephew in 2004.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 11:00 am at Wedges Prairie Cemetery, Town of Waupun, Fond du Lac County. The Rev. John Price will officiate.
