LaVerne K. Breitkreutz, 87, a resident of St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac and formerly of Hartford and Oakfield, was called to her heavenly home, Monday, January 4, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born October 28, 1922 in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Mary Hatzung Brinkmann. On September 6, 1947 she married Norbert R. Breitkreutz at her family's home in Hartford. LaVerne was secretary of her husband's business, Hartford Radiator until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aide in Hartford. She was also a member of the Hartford American Legion and VFW Post 8834 Ladies Auxiliary. LaVerne enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, going to craft shows, cooking and baking. SURVIVORS: her husband, Norbert, Oakfield; one daughter, Faith (Don) Manke, Oakfield; one son, Neil Breitkreutz, Bentonville, AK; six grandchildren, Donny (Candice) Manke, Craig (Charissa) Breitkreutz, Jason (Samantha) Breitkreutz, Aimee Manke, Angela Manke, Meghan Breitkreutz; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Grace and Sullivan Manke, Brett and Caitlyn Breitkreutz, McKenzie Breitkreutz; two sisters-in-law, Frances Gurtner, Woodruff, Doris Breitkreutz, Hartford; one brother-in-law, Donald (Millie) Breitkreutz, Neshkoro; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Melvin (Sally) Brinkmann; four brothers-in-law, Walter Gurtner, Robert Breitkreutz, Leander (Lois) Breitkreutz, Harold Breitkreutz.
VISITATION: will be from 10 AM "“ 1 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center Street, Hartford, Wisconsin. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeremy Husby officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Memorials are appreciated to Peace Lutheran Church and School, Hartford or Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Fond du Lac.
