Lawrence B. "Larry" Balthazor, 87, formerly of 350 Winnebago Street, North Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home. He was born November 30, 1918, in the Town of Friendship, the son of Alex and Josephine Guyette Balthazor. On June 27, 1942, he married Lorraine Clark King in Crown Point, IN. Larry was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. He was formerly employed by Quic-Frez and Mercury Marine, retiring in 1982. His memberships included the Mercury Marine Retirees, Civilian Conservation Corps, the St. Joseph's Club, and Knights of Columbus Council #664. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. Surviving is his wife, Lorraine, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Winters of Weyauwega, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He is further survived by a brother, Medard (Patricia) Balthazor of Fond du Lac, a sister, Veronica (Gregory) Jungwirth of Syracuse, NY, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents, a son, Richard King, three brothers, Leonard, Richard, and Bernard, and a sister, Rita Bennett, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Lawrence B. "Larry" Balthazor will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Patrick Heppe of Holy Family Parish will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Balthazor's name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
