Lawrence C. "Larry" Toetz

Lawrence C. "Larry" Toetz, 61, of N5993 Nelson Road, Town of Lamartine, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at the Hospice Home of Hope, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 27, 1947, in Fond du Lac, the son of Karl R. and Marjorie M. Schloskey Toetz. He was formerly employed by Mercury Marine for 41 years, retiring in July of this year. Larry was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1966 to 1968. For many years, he was involved in various pool and bowling leagues in the Fond du Lac area. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed collecting baseball cardsSurviving are three daughters, Paula (Barry) Messer of Oshkosh, Technical Sergeant JoAnn Toetz Box Elder, SD, and Ellen (John) Pearsall of Manhattan, KS; seven grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Rachel Messer, Natalie Toetz, and Mitchell, Everett, and Carly Pearsall. He is further survived by his mother, Marjorie Toetz of Phoenix, AZ, a brother, Karl Toetz of Fond du Lac, and two sisters, Patty (Dennis) Crooks of Slinger, and Karen Stanchfield of Phoenix, AZ. His father preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Lawrence C. "Larry" Toetz will be on Thursday, September 11, 2008, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 8 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. John Dorn will officiate. Cremation has taken place. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home of Hope, 400 County Road K, Fond du Lac.
