Lawrence J. Zentner

Lawrence J. Zentner, 83, of 437 Harrison Street, North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born December 29, 1927, in the Town of Black Wolf, Winnebago County, the son of Joseph M. and Ada Wegner Zentner. He grew up in the Van Dyne area and moved to Fond du Lac in 1963. On December 29, 1976, he married Kathryn A. Eggers in Fond du Lac at the Church of Peace. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2005. Lawrence was formerly employed by Fond du Lac County as a maintenance foreman for the Fond du Lac County Healthcare Center retiring in 1990. He was a member of Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran and Eagles Aerie #270. Lawrence enjoyed bowling, gambling, playing cards, dancing, Scrabble, and 500 point Rummy.Surviving are two sons, Jeffery Zentner and Tony (Sarah) Zentner, both of Fond du Lac, a daughter, Holly Mielkie of La Grange, IL, a step-son, Thomas (Kathy) Mielkie of Fond du Lac, three step-daughters, Margaret (Mike) Ohrmund , Debra (Jeff) Jewett and Tracy Mielkie, all of Fond du Lac, 14 grandchildren, and a very special friend, Nancy Waala of North Fond du Lac. His parents, wife, a brother, Eugene, and a step-son, Robert Mielkie preceded him in death.



Visitation for Lawrence J. Zentner will be on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 9 to 11 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the funeral home on Friday. The Rev.
