Leatrice L. Dickmann

Leatrice L. Dickmann, 83, of 482 East Scott Street, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac. She was born on October 15, 1923 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Leroy and Wilma Newirth Koehn. On March 25, 1961 she married Walter E. Dickmann in Sheboygan and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1995. Leatrice was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. She loved singing and in the mid 1940's she toured and sang with a band. She worked for Roger Crocker's Studio in Sheboygan and later was a sales clerk with Dana & Worm in Fond du Lac, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed spending summers with her family at their cottage on Sy Lake, playing sports with her children, crocheting, writing and watching detective shows. Leatrice was a very witty, caring and loving wife, mother and friend.SURVIVORS: one son, Don (Mary) Ruppel, Brea, CA; one daughter, Pam Carrasco, Fond du Lac; one step-son, Robert (Barbara) Dickmann; one step-daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Osterman, Winter Haven, FL; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Koehn, Sheboygan Falls; nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her first husband, Otto J. Ruppel, Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter and a brother, Don.



VISITATION: will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 4 "“ 6 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Arthur Callies. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 1PM until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Shrine of Rest Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Hospice Home of Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
