Lee D. Delap

Lee D. DeLap, 65, of 755 Security Drive, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born January 17, 1944 in Oshkosh, the son of Leon and Lorraine Funk DeLap. In 1980 he married Donna Eggers in Fond du Lac. Lee served in the U.S. Army for nine years, in Alaska and Vietnam. He worked at Eaton's Pizza, PDQ in North Fond du Lac and owned Lee's Meat in PDQ. He was a member of North Fond du Lac Optimist Club were he was awarded member of the year in 1990/1991. SURVIVORS: his wife, Donna; two daughters, Belinda (Randy) DeLap, Oshkosh, Brenda (Tom) Kroken, Beaver Dam; two step-sons, Brian (Suzi) Eggers, Fond du Lac, Eric (Patti) Eggers, Fond du Lac; eight siblings, Kathleen (Henry) Irizarry, Wayne (Sue) DeLap, John (Rae Jean) DeLap, William DeLap, all of Fond du Lac, Jerry (Shirley) Velie, Milwaukee, Lois (Dann) Denslow, Green Lake, Dennis (Jeanne) Velie, Fond du Lac, Joye (Dan) Velie Stafford, Oakfield. Lee was a loving grandfather to twelve grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon DeLap; his step-father, Irving Velie, who raised Lee; his mother, Lorraine Velie; one brother, Willard DeLap.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“ 7 PM on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Kramer officiating. Cremation has taken place.
