LEE W. DE MASTERLee W. De Master, age 66, of 207 Pheasant Drive, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at his residence after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Sheboygan on August 3, 1941 the son of Willard and Alice Hilbelink De Master. On August 9, 1963 he married the love of his life Nancy M. Ebbers in Cedar Grove. Lee was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School Class of 1959. He received his bachelors in Physical Education from Central College, Pella, Iowa and his Masters Degree from Northern Michigan University. He taught Phy. Ed. in New Holstein, Sheboygan Falls, and Fond du Lac for 33 years, retiring from Fond du Lac Public Schools in 1996. After his retirement Lee worked for Haentze Floral Co. for 9 years. He was an active member of Grace Reformed Church serving as deacon, elder and sang in the church choir. Lee especially enjoyed using his gifts and talents to serve others. He appreciated the outdoors, was a sports enthusiast, and an avid golfer. He was a member of WEA and the Fond du Lac Retired Teacher's Association.He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. De Master, two children, Wendy (Todd) Ackermann, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Timothy (Chris) De Master, Berlin, four grandchildren, Aaron, Payton, Brodie, and Jenna. Lee is further survived by brothers and sister, Roger (Marilyn) De Master, Oostburg, Glenn (Marilyn) De Master, Fullerton, California, Mary (Eldon) Schulte, Pella, Iowa, and Paul (Mary) De Master, Oostburg. His parents, and one sister, Joyce, preceded him in death.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:30 A.M at Grace Reformed Church with Reverend Barry Vegter officiating.
