Leila A. Vogds

Leila A. Vogds, 84, of 310 S. Seymour Street, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 19, 1923, in Iona, Iowa, the daughter of Matthew F. and Helen Gurnt Theis. On July 4, 1942, she married Wallace J. Vogds at St. Joseph's Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1992. Mrs. Vogds was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. She was formerly employed by Kressges Dime Store as a sales clerk, retiring in 1973. She enjoyed collecting dolls, watching ice-skating, the Gather Gospel Hour, Lawrence Welk, and Daniel O'Donnell.Surviving is a brother, Ervin (Helen) Theis of Rosendale, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and ten brothers and sisters.



Visitation for Mrs. Leila Vogds will be on Thursday, January 10, 2008, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Family prayer services will be on Friday, January 11, 2008, at 10:00 am at the funeral home and Mass of Christian Burial services at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church with Rev.
