Lenore K. Wirkus

Lenore K. Wirkus, 81, a resident of Manor Care, formerly of 627 Indiana Avenue, North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on August 31, 1925 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Peter, Sr. and Mary Kempf Kraus. Lenore was a loving wife to Marvel Wirkus for 22 years. She was a member of Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac. She worked as a telephone operator with Wisconsin Bell for 27 years. Lenore was a volunteer for the Senior Center and Share. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting and playing Bingo.SURVIVORS: five children, Thomas (Lynn) Wirkus, St. Germain, WI, Joanne Wirkus, North Fond du Lac, Mark (Rita) Wirkus, Gordon, WI, Michael (Virginia) Wirkus, Loveland, CO, Robert (Rose) Wirkus, Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren, Randy (Karen) Wirkus, Debbie Wirkus, Tammy Patchett-Wirkus, Kim (Randy) Berzinski, Mylea Wirkus, Nathan Wirkus, Kyle Wirkus, Joshua (Megan) Wirkus, Jacque and Jeremiah Wirkus, April (Corey) Fuller, Autumn Wirkus; 7 great grandchildren, Corey and Shannon Wirkus, Brady Wirkus, Ryan Patchett, Calvin Ziegler, Kalena Berzinski and Maddie Fuller; one sister, Leona (Hanford) Erickson, North Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.



VISITATION: will be from 4-8 PM on Monday, May 14, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac with Rev. John Simon and Rev. Dennis VanBeek concelebrating. Entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Shrine of Rest Mausoleum. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
