Dr. Leo G. Joseph, 86, of 497 W. 11th Street, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his residence. He was born November 18, 1917, in Fond du Lac, a son of George and Rosemary Faris Joseph. Leo was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School with degrees in Internal Medicine and Gerontology. For most of his professional life, he was associated with the Marshalltown Veterans Hospital in Iowa. Prior to this, he served at the Gunderson Clinic in La Crosse, and the Tomah Veterans Hospital. Dr. Joseph was a veteran of WW II serving as a bomber turret gunner in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association and was an ordained deacon in the Catholic Church.Surviving is a brother, Gerald (Mary) Joseph of Camarillo, CA, four nieces, one nephew, and many cousins. His parents, a brother, Earl, a sister, Geraldine Darge, and a niece preceded him in death.



Visitation for Dr. Leo G. Joseph will be on Monday, July 19, 2004, from 9 to 11 am at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Monday, July 19, 2004, at the church. Cremation has taken place. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Calvary Cemetery.
