Leo J. "Jim" Koenigs

Leo "Jim" J. Koenigs, age 84, of W5080 Reinhardt Rd, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at St Agnes Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1923 in Johnsburg the son of Peter and Louise (Thome) Koenigs. On April 3, 1948 he married Mildred C. Hansen at Holy Trinity Church in Jericho. Leo was a farmer for many years and worked on a mink ranch, and also worked at Wright Brothers Box Factory. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. He also enjoyed raising birds on his "featherfarm".SURVIVORS: his wife, Mildred of Fond du Lac, four children, Leonard (Mary) Koenigs of Fond du Lac, Kenneth Koenigs of Oshkosh, Marlene (Jon) Snell of Fond du Lac, Debbie (Dan) Dornbrook of Rosendale, seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Carla, Lori, Travis, Jonathan, Tayler Meg, five great-grandchildren, Robert, Brian, Olivia, Lydia, and Deacon, special friend, Jeff Kroening, sister in law, Marian Koenigs, brothers in law, Marvin (Lucille) Lisowe, Roger (Lillian) Hansen, and Martin Lisowe, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Rueben, Walter (Rose), and Orlando, one sister and her husband, Marcella (Val) Thome.



VISITATION: Friday, September 26, 2008 from 9-10:30 A.M. at Shepherd of the Hills Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. FUNERAL: Friday, September 26, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Shepherd of the Hills Church with the Reverend Charles Wester officiating.
