Leo W. Roehl, 87, of 470 Ruggles Street, Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 1, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born August 13, 1922 in Princeton, the son of William and Jeanette Deich Rahl. On May 27, 1950, he married Irene M. Mietzelfeldt at Immanuel "“Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked at the Combination Door Company and Rueping Leather for 30 years, retiring in 1985. Leo was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy from 1942 to 1948. He was a longtime member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the Packers, Brewers, swimming, and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leo was a charter member of the Aquatic Center.SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife Irene of Fond du Lac, three daughters, Sue (Bernard) Hagen, Janice (Robert) Fauska, and JoAnn Roehl all of Fond du Lac. Five grandsons Greg and Daniel Hagen, Brian, Keith, (Heather) and Mark Fauska, nine great-grandchildren, a brother Reuben Rahl, Fond du Lac, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Alice Knecht and Nancy Warner, and a sister-in-law Shirley Rahl.
VISISTATION: Monday, October 5, 2009 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend David Pavesic officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery.
