LEONARD M. FIRKSLeonard M. Firks, 60, of 393 Tompkins Street, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born the son of Leonard and Lillian Reinhold Firks, Sr. on January 9, 1948 in Fond du Lac. He was a 1968 graduate of Goodrich High School. On August 15, 1970 he married Colleen M. Heise at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac. Leonard was employed with Saputo Cheese. He enjoyed fixing things around the house, gambling, gardening, taking great care of his cars and was a collector of many things. He also enjoyed spending time with his two special cats, Abby and Libby.SURVIVORS: his wife, Colleen; cousins, Mary (Jerry) VanderLoop, Malone, Mark (Nancy) Miller, Louisville, KY, Harry Jr. (Dolores) Reinhold, Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Cassandra (Patrick) Harding, Fond du Lac, Kathleen Kahlhammer, Fond du Lac; uncle and aunt, Arnold (Betty) Heise, North Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.



VISITATION: will be from 11 AM "“ 3 PM on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. David Redman officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to St. Agnes Hospice or the Fond du Lac Humane Society.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
