Leroy L. Hess

LeRoy L. Hess, 90, formerly of 362 Bischoff Street, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Lakeview Assisted Living, Fond du Lac where he had been a resident for the past two weeks. He was born the son of Arthur and Blanche Jaworski Hess on May 30, 1916 in North Fond du Lac. On November 27, 1937 LeRoy married Lucille Adler at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. LeRoy started his machinist apprenticeship with Soo Line Railroad and on July 22, 1941 became a machinist at G&L. He retired in 1981 from A.O. Smith in Milwaukee. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Knights of Columbus, Machinist's Union, G&L Oldsters and was a volunteer for Hospice for 22 years.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Pat (James) Duley, Fond du Lac; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Monica) Duley, Slinger, Lisa (John) Pawlowski, Greendale, Kathryn (Robert) Teofilo, Fond du Lac, Timothy (Vicky) Duley, Oshkosh; 15 great-grandchildren, Morgan & Mitchell Duley, Christopher, Meridith, Briana & Connor Pawlowski, Joshua, Justin, Jasmyn & Julianna Nett, Tina, Trisha, Corina, Bridget & Bob Teofilo; one sister, Leona Johnson, LaCrosse; special friend, Mary Fox, Fond du Lac and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.



VISITATION: will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 4 "“ 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral prayers will be held 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the funeral home and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, with Rev. Patrick Heppe of Holy Family Parish officiating.
