LeRoy P. Karch age 75 of N3918 Pleasantview Avenue, Cascade, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Milwaukee on December 26, 1931 the son of Felix and Antoinette Gorecki Karch. In October 1956 he married Eleanor R. Blaskowski at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point.LeRoy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He worked as a union carpenter for 40 years. He was a member of American Legion Post No.430, Butler, American Legion Post No.222 Campbellsport, and V.F. W. Post No.6498, Butler, serving as commander, sergeant at arms in those various veterans organizations. He served as an usher at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Butler. LeRoy enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, especially to Florida, polka music, family and friends and living on Long Lake.Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Karch, Cascade, two daughters, Coleen (Russell) Zinda, Colgate and Karen (Rollin) McConnohie, Campbellsport, two sons, Randy (Anne) Karch, Plover, and Richard (Kim) Karch, Rosholt, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three brothers, Mike (Beverly) Karch, Richfield, Chet (Eleanor) Karch, Stevens Point, and Larry (Doris) Karch, Rosholt. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerome and Danny Karch.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Thursday, June 14, 2007 Shepherd of Hills Catholic Church, Eden from 4 to 7 P.M. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point with Reverend Kevin C. Louis officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian of The Angels Cemetery, Stevens Point. Friends may call on Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stevens Point from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the American Cancer SocietyUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements..
