Lester W. Martin

LESTER W. MARTINLester W. Martin, age 87, formerly of 806 Deming Place died Wednesday, April 26,2005 at Grancare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Milwaukee on June 3,1917 the son of Walter and Clara Weber Martin. On June 3,1939 he married Annette "Dolly" Klauk in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on July 21,1995. Lester was a salesman for General Beverage for over 30 years. He also owned and operated taverns and restaurants in Milwaukee and later in Winnebago County. Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and drinking "Rob Roy's".SURVIVORS: two sons, Roger (Judith) Martin, Boulder Junction, and Craig (Karen) Martin, Fond du Lac, one daughter, Pam (Ira) Smerling, Van Dyne, five grandchildren, Linda (Jim) Schilling, Kathleen (Tony) Broder, Scott (Patty) Martin, Misty and Lester Smerling, two step-grandchildren, Stephanie and Joshua Schenk, six great-grandchildren, Allysia, Nicholas, Emma, Evan, Sammy Sue, and Undrea, special friend, Lyda Klauk, Carlsbad, CA. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother Leonard and a daughter Vicki.



VISITATION: Saturday, April 30,2005 from 10:00 to 12:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Saturday, April 30,2005 funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon at the funeral homeReverend Virginia Pych will officiate. Burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
