Lila R. Buchholz

Lila R. Buchholz, age 73 formerly of the Town of Forest died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born in the Mount Calvary area on October 18, 1934 the daughter of Charles and Paula Reitz Rhodes. On December 10, 1955 she married Vernon A. Buchholz at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest. Vernon preceded her in death on May 7, 1994. Lila and her husband farmed for over 40 years. She enjoyed dairy farming, especially taking care of the animals, gardening, bird watching, and enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest.SURVIVORS: Lila is survived by her three children, Robert (Cindy) Buchholz, Fond du Lac, William Buchholz, St. Cloud, Lori (David) Kapellen, St. Cloud. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Andra (Derek) Story, Fond du Lac, Aaron (Jackie) Buchholz, Fond du Lac, Adam Buchholz, Fond du Lac, Megan Kapellen, St. Cloud, Rebekah and Hannah Clark, St. Cloud, two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Avery Story, and one son-in-law Clifford Clark, St. Cloud. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Lisa Clark, a sister Myrna Theis.



SERVICES: Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Town of Forest Cemetery in the Town of Forest. Reverend Mark Barenz will officiate.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
