Lillian W. Baganz

Lillian W. Baganz entered eternal glory on June 20, 2017. She was born on June 30, 1923 in the town of Osceola in Fond du Lac County. Her parents were August Habeck and Bertha Krueger Habeck. She was baptized on July 22, 1923 and confirmed in her faith on April 10, 1938.

She married Arthur Baganz on October 10, 1951.



Her life was spent working on her mother’s farm until her marriage and afterward with her husband on their farm. Lillian planted, preserved, and prepared food from a garden. She helped care for the animals and harvested the crops. She lovingly cared for her children and grandchildren. Lillian was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was active in their Ladies Aid and the Ladies Auxiliary at WLA.



Lillian is survived by her children, John Baganz, Paul (Mary) Baganz, Marlene (Dean) Bruss, and Peter (Christine) Baganz; her grandchildren, Bryan and Jessica Bruss, Jason and Taylor Bruss, Rebecca Baganz, Benjamin Baganz, and Jacob Baganz; great-grandchildren, Darryl, Kaiden, Sawyer, and Bennett; a sister-in-law, Millie Krug; and many nieces and nephews. Her nieces Sue Dorst and Janice Kloetzke have been very special and helpful to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents; five sisters; five brothers; four sisters-in-law; and nine brothers-in-law.



Visitation for Lillian will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, W2090 Highway 23 in Mt. Calvary with Rev. Mark Barenz officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Town of Forest Cemetery.
