Lindor E. BeasterMr. Lindor E. Beaster, 86, of 50 Cleveland Street, North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 16, 1918, in Cloquet, MN, a son of Herman and Emma Hagenau Beaster. On November 23, 1946, he married Margaret Hutton in North Fond du Lac. Mr. Beaster was formerly employed by both the Soo Line and Chicago Northwestern Railroads. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1939 to 1945 as a Chief Machinist Mate. He was a member of North Fond du Lac Drier-Bushee-Vanderboom American Legion Post #156, and Bohlman-Grimes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1904. Mr. Beaster served as both a trustee and past president of the Village of North Fond du Lac, and was also a past member of the Fond du Lac County Board. He was a very active athletic participant, having played at the semi-pro level in several sports. He was a state representative of the good will group, People to People.Surviving is his wife, Margaret, two brothers, Earl (Violet) Beaster of Lady Lake, FL, and Melvin Beaster of North Fond du Lac, three sisters, Della Wischnefski and Alma Woodruff, both of Fond du Lac, and Joyce (Clifford) Becker of North Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Oscar and Ervin, a brother-in-law, Clark Woodruff, and three sisters-in-law, Nina, Hazel, and Virgil Beaster.
Visitation for Mr. Lindor E. Beaster will be on Thursday, March 24, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Friday military graveside rites will be conducted at 10:30 am at Estabrooks Cemetery by Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad.
