Lloyd F. Hawes

Lloyd “Duke” F. Hawes, 77, of Muskego, died Monday, November 20, 2023 at Sunset Ridge in Jefferson.  He was born July 27, 1946 in Fond du Lac, the son of Lloyd and Frances (Bistry) Hawes.  Lloyd graduated from St. Mary Springs High School.  He married Judith A. Klein on June 12, 1971 at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac.  He worked as a professor at MATC for 8 years, Allis-Chalmers, Design House, and Quality Custom Brokers, Inc until his retirement.

He was a member of the Eagles Club, life member of HOG, past president of South Milwaukee Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, and an honorary certified claims professional. Duke enjoyed traveling, watching racing, volunteering, going to fairs, and loved the Green Bay Packers and Harley Davidson. 

He is survived by his wife, Judy; three children, Michael (Liz) Hawes of Brown Deer, Brian (Jenny) Hawes of Milwaukee, and Michelle (Enrico) Scarpace of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Alexis and Xavier Hawes, Kayla (George) Nammour, Nicko (Samantha) Mandelin, Jonathan Scarpace and Antonio Scarpace; great grandchildren, Morgan, Braxton, and Quinton Mandelin; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Chera Hawes.

The visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery.
