Lois D. Pagel, 78, of 282 Lloyd Street, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born August 21, 1926, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Charles M. and Elsie V. Bilkoski Allen. On October 5, 1946, she married Carl E. Pagel. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1977.Mrs. Pagel was a member of the Church of Peace-United Church of Christ for over 50 years and had taught Sunday school for many years. She was employed by Book World for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling, and participating in various clubs.Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen (James) Sabel of Fond du Lac, and Susan (Tyke) Frost of Deerfield, NH, two grandchildren, Jason (Fiancé Sara Ulius) Sabel of Berrien Springs, MI, and Joleen Sabel of Hartford, WI. She is further survived by a twin sister, Lorraine Kennedy of Fond du Lac, and two sisters-in-law, Arline Waehler, of Fond du Lac, and Ione Pagel of New York State, and nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, a sister-in-law, Leona Kulibert, and a brother-in-law, Norman Pagel preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Lois D. Pagel will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, from 9:30 to 1:00 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Virginia Pych will officiate. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home of Hope.
