Lois Lynndell "Lynn" Schmitz

Lois L. "Lynn" Schmitz, 58, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1955 in Palm Springs, CA the daughter of Nicholas and Rulea "Joyce" Cooper Backhaus. She married Robert G. Schmitz on August 9, 2003 at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac, WI. Lynn worked for Fond du Lac County for eleven years, as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Subway, was a day care teacher at Salvation Army and Care Center East. She was an avid quilter and gardener. Lynn is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Larry (fiancé, Angie Otero) Hannaman of North Fond du Lac; two brothers, Randall (Betty) Backhaus of Oakfield and Nicholas (Partner, R.J. Troudt) of Fond du Lac; one sister, Susann (fiancé, Bruce Fink) of North Fond du Lac; one step son Eric Schmitz and one step daughter Michelle Schmitz of Fond du Lac; her father and mother in law Elmer and Julitta Schmitz of Fond du Lac; two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.



Visitation will be held on Friday May 3, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM and again on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10:00 "“ 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 901 Cty Tk V Fond du Lac, WI. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2013 with Rev. Jeff Blain officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.
