Loren A. Kavage, 84, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born March 6, 1933 in Berlin, Wisconsin, the son of Antone and Lydia Kavage. He married Mary Barnes in Oshkosh on July 5, 1960. Loren entered the U.S. Air Force in 1950 and served in the 22nd Troop Carrier Squadron H, and made it his career. He retired from the Air Force in 1971. After retirement he drove for UPS and the Fond du Lac City Bus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, guns, and airplanes.
He is survived by six children, Tonja Orvis of Fond du Lac, Laurie (Brad) Bowers of Winter Haven, FL, Lee (Lori) Kavage of Fond du Lac, Terry Kavage of Juneau, Sue O’Neil of Plover, and Derek Kavage of Fond du Lac; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Earl, Robert, Donald, Lucille, and Claire.
The visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.
