Lorraine D. Benz

Lorraine D.Benz, 81, of 1100 Rock Avenue, Waupun, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Waupun Christian Home, Waupun. She was born the daughter of William H. and Leona S. Greise Rueckert on November 10, 1924 in the Town of Metomen, WI. On November 14, 1942 Lorraine married Eldon J. Benz in Fairwater, WI. Lorraine was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Waupun. She was a very active life member of the DAVA #11 in Fond du Lac. Lorraine was a homemaker for most of her life and in her later years was a caregiver to her husband. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Lorinda (Erwin) VanGalen, Waupun; two sons, James Benz and special friend LaVonne Curran, Evansville, WI and Brian Benz, Madison; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Rueckert, Ripon; a brother-in-law, Ray (Doris) Benz, Green Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, David; one great-grandchild, Miranda VanGalen; one brother, Roland.



VISITATION: Will be from 5PM- 8PM on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at church.FUNERAL: Will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Waupun with Rev. Christopher Doerr officiating. Burial will follow in Fairwater Cemetery, Fairwater, WI.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
