Louis "Louie" Weigel

Louis “Louie” Weigel, 84, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 9, 1931 in the Town of Forest, son of Louis and Laura Steinke Weigel. On August 7, 1954 he married Audrey J. Greene in Fond du Lac and she preceded him in death on March 16, 2004. Louie farmed for many years on the family farm and worked for Brenner Tank over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Louie enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to casinos, playing cards, and polka dancing.



He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Kargus of Menomonee Falls and Cheri (Gary) Schultz of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Lisa (Matt) Ditscheit, Steve (Jamie) Kargus, and Pat (fiancé, Dani LeFevre) McGovern; four great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Logan Kargus, Austyn and McKayla Ditscheit; one sister, Adeline Seibel of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audrey; one son-in-law, Don Kargus; two sisters, Lorraine (Dave) Habeck and Marcella (Rueben) Brown.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
