Lovina A. Elsinger

Lovina A. Elsinger, 83, of 268 6th Street, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Manor Care Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 29, 1923 in Marshfield, the daughter of Lester and Christina Bauer Sook. On September 30, 1944 she married Norbert J. Elsinger at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1998. Lovina worked at St. Vincent DePaul, Salvation Army and was a crossing guard for over eighteen years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Fond du Lac Eagles Auxiliary #270 where she served as trustee, guard and numerous committees. Lovina enjoyed watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and visiting family and friends.SURVIVORS: her five children, Linda Taplin, North Fond du Lac, LaVerne (Jamie) Hernandez, Waukesha, Lester (Donna) Elsinger, Fond du Lac, Lucy (Bill) Johnson, Fond du Lac, Loretta (Mike) Wrzesinske, Fond du Lac; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Shirley (Arnold) Riese, Oakfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one great grandson, a son-in-law, Bill Taplin, three brothers, Earl, Arnold and Sylvester Sook.



VISITATION: Friday, December 22, 2006 from 5 "“ 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with Deacon Ricardo Munoz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. All the pain and grief is overEvery restless tossing passed;I am now at peace forever,Safely home in Heaven at last.And He came Himself to meet meIn that way so hard to tread;And with Jesus' arm to lean on,Could I have one doubt or dread? I am home in Heaven, dear onesOh, so happy and so bright!There is perfect joy and beautyIn this everlasting light.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
