Lowell E. Odekirk

Lowell E. Odekirk, age 80, of 446 Western Ave, Fond du Lac, died Monday, November 1, 2004 at Eagle River Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1924 at 395 Nelson St, Fond du Lac the son of Ray A. and Mary E. Lingenfelter Odekirk. On October 25, 1947 he married Betty E. Schallog at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. He worked at Kroger Grocery Store in Fond du Lac. He worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for thirty-eight years retiring as an Engineer. He was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, the Mid-Continent Railway Historical Society. He was a dulcet at the Galloway House. Lowell enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and loved his family.SURVIVORS: his wife Betty E. Odekirk of Fond du Lac, one son, Dean (Pat) Odekirk of Fond du Lac, one daughter Lorna (Loron) of Bock of Malone, five grandchildren, Matthew (fiancé Sara Beltz) Odekirk, Theresa, Katie, William, and Rachel Bock, one brother, Eldon (Jennifer) Odekirk of Fond du Lac, one sister, Audrey Heruth of Oshkosh, one sister in law, Lucille Odekirk of Campbellsport, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald.



VISITATION: Saturday, November 6, 2004 from 9-11 A.M. at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church. FUNERAL: Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church with the Reverend Fred Toppe officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Inurnment will be at Estabrooks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church or to Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
