LuCile Evelyn Kisser, of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on August 23, 1931, in Oakfield to the late John and Helen (Radeck) Smiljanic. LuCile was a graduate of Lomira High School where she was very active in sports and was a cheerleader and majorette. On August 16,1952, she married her one true love, William 'Bill' Kisser. They were married for 34 years prior to Bill passing in 1986. LuCile devoted her early years to raising her three children, Cynthia, Craig and Gloria, and later raising her beloved grandson, Shawn. She enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her six grandchildren. She was full of life, love and laughter and always enjoyed a joke and having fun. She remained active and enjoyed antiquing, dancing, bowling, and golfing. LuCile worked at General Electric in Milwaukee after graduation and later in the corporate offices of Kiekhaefer Corporation in Cedarburg and Fond du Lac. LuCile and Bill operated a farm in Stockbridge in the early 70's until they moved to her current home in Fond du Lac.LuCile is survived by her son, Craig (Julie) Kisser of Oshkosh, and daughter, Gloria (Charles) Maurer of Chilton; six grandchildren, Shawn (Danielle) Lorrigan, Angela (Jason) Hoefler; Charles William, Emily and Grant Maurer and Eric Kisser; four sisters, Mary Runkel, Helen Abram, Jean Nack, Rose Smiljanic and one brother, Douglas Smiljanic along with other beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her daughter, Cynthia Asik, sisters Martha Schafer and Alice Halvorsen, and brothers, Roko and John Smiljanic. LuCile is joyfully reunited with her loved ones in God's kingdom.
Visitation will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, and Fond du Lac on Friday, October 16 from 3:30 until 6:00 pm with services to follow with the Rev. Jim Cieszynski officiating. A celebration of Lu's life will follow at the Lakeside Park Pavilion at 71 Promen Drive, Fond du Lac. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
