Lucille G. Buechel

Lucille G. Buechel, 88, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1919 in Eureka, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank O. and Anna Corner Weeks. On March 30, 1940 she married Clarence Tetzke at St. Joseph's Church, Berlin, Wisconsin and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1977. On June 4, 1983 she married Herman J. Buechel at St. Joseph's Church, Berlin, Wisconsin and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1998. She was a bookkeeper for Badgerland Farm Credit for 14 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Peter's Chatholic Church and it's Altar Society. She was a peer counselor for the Fond du Lac Senior Center. Lucille also served on the advisory board for the Fond du Lac Senior Center and AdvoCap. She was a past member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling and volunteering. SURVIVORS: one son, David (Karen) Tetzke, Winchester, step children, Joan (Donald) Steffes, St. Joe, Herman (Janet) Buechel, Jr., Fond du Lac, Teresa (Jack) Steffan, St. Joe, Diana (Donald) Abler, Glenbuelah, Allen (Betty) Buechel, Malone, Joyce (Ron) Verhaagh, Fond du Lac; one step son-in-law, Lester Stephanie, Fond du Lac; one grandson, Barry Tetzke, Combine Locks; one granddaughter, Michele (Joseph) Demerath, Menasha; 25 step-grandchildren; 34 step-great grandchildren; one sister, Dorotha Helmuth, Berlin. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relative and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two step daughters, Marilyn (Roger) Schneider and Betty Stephanie, and two brothers, Richard and Harold Weeks.



VISITATION: will be from 4-8 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 2, 2007 at All Saints Parish- St. Michael's Church, Berlin with Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Berlin.
