Lucille M. "Lou" Jacobs

Lucille M. “Lou” Jacobs, age 87, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 28, 1930 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Ervin and Mabel (Hoddinott) Meyer. She graduated in 1948 from Goodrich High School. On May 31, 1952 she married Harry A. Jacobs at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, with the Reverend Fred Landdeck officiating. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2014. Lucille worked for Fond du Lac Dry Goods Store from 1948-50, the telephone company from 1950-52, she worked on a dairy farm from 1952-78 and then for Hometown Demo from 1980-90. She enjoyed ceramics, woodcrafts, and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Lucille was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.



Survivors include five children, Linda (John) Hohensee, Daniel (Kathleen) Jacobs, Lori (Pat) Dobbs, Lisa (James) Konen, and Dale Jacobs; grandchildren, James (Stephanie) Hohensee, Michael Hohensee, Jennifer (Chris) Grafton, Benjamin (Jourdan) Jacobs, Kurt (Gabrielle) Jacobs, Adam Dobbs, Melissa (John) Marschke, Joshua Konen, Stephanie (Benjamin) Golz, Caleb Konen, and Emilie Konen; great-grandchildren, Penelope, Kinsley, Henry, and Griffin; four sisters, Elaine Triatik, Phyllis (Vaughn) Krumbein, Bev (Dick) Hegner, and Karen (John) Hielsberg; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Jacobs; one son, Dennis Jacobs; one grandson, Mark Hohensee.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the church at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Estabrooks Cemetery.
