Lucille R. Schmidt

Lucille R. Schmidt, age 97, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Woodlands Senior Park. She was born on August 28, 1923, in Berlin, WI, the daughter of George and Katherine (Czecholinski) Huskey. On June 5, 1948, she married Arthur Schmidt at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2004. Lucille was a member of Holy Family Parish and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, western movies, traveling, bingo, watching Hallmark Channel, shopping, and going out to eat. Lucille loved Christmas and enjoyed baking for the holidays.



Survivors include her children, James (Sandra) Schmidt of Fond du Lac, Denise (John) Tobin of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Christine (Mike Grand) Herman of Fort Wayne, IN, Michael (Tessa) Schmidt of Oakfield, Elizabeth (David) Williamson of Wisconsin Rapids, Melissa (Aaron) Smith of Pecatonica, IL; four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Riley, and Brody Williamson, Ripley Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; and all of her siblings and their spouses.



Private family visitation and services will take place. Entombment will take place at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
