Lucy A. Schwartz

Lucy A. Schwartz, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, September 27, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh, WI. She was born on July 19, 1946, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Sertich) Hussli. Lucy graduated from Dominican High in 1964 and went on to Marian College graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. On August 29, 1970, she married Clarence Schwartz at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Lucy worked at St. Agnes Hospital for 40 years and retired in 2006 and went into home care for another 10 years. 

She is survived by three children, Susan Schwartz, Mary Schwartz, and John Schwartz; grandson, Brandon (Kacey) Redmann; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary; and husband, Clarence. 

The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way in Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on Friday at 11:00 AM at Church. Cremation has taken place and entombment will follow in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
