Ludwina C. Pitzen

Ludwina C. Pitzen {93) of 101 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was born Ludwina Cornelia Balthazor on February 10, 1915 to Francis John Balthazor and Catherine Helen (Mand) Balthazor in the town of Friendship. She was the second of three daughters and two sons. She was married to Edmund Joseph Pitzen on July 15, 1936 and was blessed with four children and three grandchildren. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She loved her children and grandchildren and her flowers, especially pansies.Surviving Ludwina are three sons, Donald, Robert (Nancy), and Rodney Pitzen, a daughter, Joan Steininger (Paul), three grandchildren, Chastity Geisthart, John and Thomas Steininger, all of Fond du Lac, a brother, George Balthazor of California, nephews Gary Miller (Chris) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Frank Balthazor (Joanne), John Whitford (Jeannie), Joseph Whitford (Diane) and Thomas Whitford of the Madison area, Brian Balthazor of California, Steve Balthazor (Ginny) of West Bend, and nieces, Lana Koenigs (Jim) and Sandy of Fond du Lac, and Ludwina's special friend, Wally Clemons and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents three sisters, Esther Whitford, Ardelle Miller, Lyla Balthazor and two brothers, William and Raymond Balthazor, and a nephew, David Miller.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. at the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery 686 Fond du Lac Avenue. FUNERAL: Liturgy of The Word Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. with Deacon Ricardo Munoz will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Creative Care Options and the staff at St. Agnes Hospital.
