Luther P. Snyder

Luther P. Snyder, Jr. age 81 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Fond du Lac on December 15, 1930 the son of Luther and Leveda Green Snyder, Sr. On March 31, 1967 he married Luella A. Rohde in Fond du Lac. Luther was a veteran of the Korean War serving as a signal operator in Company B. Luther worked for Eden Stone, Fond du Lac Stone, with his father in masonry, Mercury Marine from where he retired in the 1980's. and Fond du Lac Wilbert Vault Company. He was a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac, Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75, VFW Post No.1904 and the AMVETs Post No.41. Luther enjoyed crafts, wood working, painting, camping, hiking, biking and enjoyed the outdoors.SURVIVORS: Luther is survived by his wife, Luella A. Snyder, Fond du Lac, son, Dale (Bridget) Pevonka, North Fond du Lac, four step-children; Teresa (Cliff) Nehring, North Fond du Lac, Mike Brown, York, PA, John (Joan) Brown, Fond du Lac, David Brown, Fond du Lac, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews. Luther is further survived by three brothers, Albert (Joyce) Snyder, Fond du Lac, Orville Snyder, Fond du Lac, Harley Snyder, Fond du Lac and one sister Audrey Krug, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-son Jim Brown, sister Florence, brothers, Floyd, William, Elmer, Melvin, Leon, and Harvey and numerous brothers and sister-in-laws.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January, 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Reverend Allen Bramstedt officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. The Trier-Puddy American Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside services.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Divine Savior Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac.
